Job description

Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview Responsible for assisting the Safety department with day-to-day administrative operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with annual safety training for competent person, confined space rescue, fall rescue, medical responder, etc. Assist with new hire orientation. Assist with monthly safety training. Manage employee safety training files/certifications for internal and external training. Maintain lock-out/tag-out locks and fall protection equipment inventory and tracking. Order and maintain stock on various safety supplies. Assist with safety data input and reporting.

Ensure plant-wide TVs with safety information/stats are up to date. Support Safety & Health Department with all applicable tasks as assigned. File medical records for nurses. Witness drug/alcohol tests. Complete first responder training.

Qualifications

Required High school diploma or equivalent

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment Preferred Associate's degree in Administrative Office Management or related field
• 2+ years clerical experience Experience with safety-related functions, such as training management Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
