Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview Help Desk is an entry-level position on the IT Team at SDI Southwest Division Responsibilities Installation and maintenance of all computer hardware and software Assisting with the support of all aspects of LAN-based networking Assisting with the installation and maintenance of voice systems; usually limited to cabling, phones, headsets and software Assisting with the cabling in new and existing locations for network, computers, phones or other equipment such as printers Repairing or upgrading computer systems as needed Providing Tier 1 level support on hardware and software technical issues Assisting with modification of Active Directory users, groups, and permissions Creation, updating and management of computer images

• Prepare documentation to assist end-user adoption of new and existing tools
• Work in the ticketing tool fulfilling all end-user incidents and requests in compliance with agreed SLA’s
• Manage the computer equipment inventory Any other duties as assigned by the IT Supervisor
• Provide on-call 24/7 support in case of emergency

Qualifications

• Must be a computer course student, graduate, or have computer-related work experience
• Knowledge of Windows 11 required, Servers 2022 and above preferred Computer certifications o CompTia A+ or Simila Required: Customer Service Oriented Good communication skills Problem-solving Skills Proactive and Self Driven Team working Computer Certifications o CompTia Network+ o CompTia Security + o Or similar (Google) Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
