Are you looking for your next opportunity? Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Ceded Reinsurance Associate in our Ceded Placement team. Our Ceded Reinsurance team manages the reinsurance purchases of its insurance and reinsurance portfolios through both internal reinsurance vehicles and through external reinsurance markets. We work with a network of stakeholders both within and outside of the Sompo community.

What you’ll be doing: Support the Ceded Buying and Analytics team with reinsurance placement activities, including internal meetings, market-facing functions, renewal preparation, and stakeholder presentations. Collect, validate, compile, and analyze data for ceded reinsurance and management presentations.

• Assist the Finance and Operations Ceded Team with administration, including SCRAPs entry and account process
• Partner with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, and Risk Management to understand interaction and impact with Ceded Re
• Pursue a professional reinsurance designation to build technical knowledge of reinsurance structures and industry standards.

What you’ll bring

2+ years of Insurance/Reinsurance experience preferred Bachelor’s degree with major in business or quantitative field (e.g.

Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics)

• Manage qualitative data to be accurate, timely and accessible as well as possess high degree of financial acumen and awareness of financial responsibility
• Communicate written and verbal information in a clear, well-organized, and professional manner with ability to build and establish constructive and cooperative working relationships
