BALER OPERATOR $16-$19/HR M-F 5a-130p currently 5a-330p The Opportunity: The Baler Operator works within a team to help operate the Baler in a safe, efficient and reliable manner. The position holder will follow all pertinent procedures & processes as well as Group Health & Safety standards and rules How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

• Make good, neat bales.
• Operate hogger and hog up all unusable paper and corrugated scrap.
• Assist in two man feeds as necessary.
• Maintain accurate bale reports.
• Maintain inventories of baling wire, wax and no wax tags, and scrap bales.
• Operate a fork jack in a safe manner when necessary.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.

What you need to succeed

High school diploma or GED.

Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following

Prior work experience in the corrugated industry. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License. The individual must have a working knowledge of the following: Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
