Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Tech V Location: Humboldt Department: Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary: The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a corrugated box manufacturing facility. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of machinery, production lines, and plant infrastructure by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and related components for production machinery and plant equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems in machinery such as corrugators, printers, die cutters, and conveyor systems. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as multimeters and oscilloscopes. Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology. Minimum 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics. Familiarity with safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and work in confined spaces for extended periods. Lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Comfortable working in a noisy, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Schedule

Full-time; may require overtime, weekends, and on-call availability. Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
