SRE -Site Reliability Engineer II at Quest Diagnostics

Required Work Experience

4+ years of experience with enterprise APM tools, including deep administrative experience with Dynatrace (managing One Agent, ActiveGate, and custom workflows). 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or Observability Engineering. 2+ years of experience designing and implementing monitoring for cloud-hosted environments (Azure or GCP preferred). Working experience building robust automation solutions using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

Proven experience setting up end-to-end monitoring for middleware infrastructure, databases, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional agile environment.

Preferred Work Experience

Active certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Dynatrace, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, etc.). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible. Working experience building CI/CD pipelines and using version control systems (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins). Deep understanding of Linux/Windows systems administration and networking principles. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Exposure to microservices architecture. Exposure to log management tools like Splunk, Opsramp.
