The NVR Mortgage Capital Markets Internship Program provides hands-on exposure to the business functions that support mortgage pricing, risk management, loan sales, and secondary market execution. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll gain insight into how NVR Mortgage manages loan pipelines, analyzes market conditions, develops pricing strategies, and delivers mortgage products to investors.

Throughout the internship, you'll gain practical experience through a combination of reporting, financial analysis, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll learn how capital markets activities support the broader mortgage operation, including loan origination, secondary marketing, investor relations, accounting, and strategic decision-making. You'll also develop an understanding of how interest rate movements, market trends, and regulatory changes impact the mortgage industry and NVR Mortgage's business.

You'll develop valuable analytical, financial, and business skills while contributing to projects that support the ongoing success of NVR Mortgage. Primary Responsibilities

Gain exposure to NVR Mortgage's capital markets operations, including loan pricing, rate lock management, secondary marketing, hedging strategies, loan sales, and investor execution. Analyze mortgage pipelines, market conditions, interest rate movements, and operational data to support business decisions, risk management, profitability, and reporting initiatives. Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models, reporting tools, and analytics used to monitor mortgage production, loan delivery, market performance, and capital markets activities.

Collaborate with teams across Capital Markets, Accounting, Operations, and Sales to understand the mortgage origination-to-sale lifecycle and help drive process improvements, operational efficiencies, and strategic initiatives. Learn how the Hedging & Trading team hedge NVR Mortgage’s loan pipeline and by observing how market movements, pricing tools, and investor programs influence daily decisions.

Qualifications

Current enrollment in college or university pursing a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (scheduled to graduate within 12 months of the internship is preferred) Highly driven & self-motivated with leadership experience Strong communication skills Current Driver’s License Life at NVR At NVR, our industry-leading training and mentoring give you the tools and knowledge you need to succeed.
