Basic Job Functions

Nucor Steel Hertford County is seeking qualified applications for the posting of Product Metallurgist. Principal duties include, but are not limited to: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Ensuring order entry is correct from a technical aspect.

Understanding and maintaining system and standards for order entry. Providing technical support to customers and commercial teammates from inquiry to production to product feedback.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent technical/engineering related steel production experience Legally authorized to work in the United States. Nucor Plate Group will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.
