Position Summary

The Staff Accountant ensures the accuracy and integrity of Accounts Payable and General Ledger transactions by preparing journal entries and reconciliations. This role is cri􀆟cal in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accruals to ensure proper expense recognition, completeness and accuracy.
• Classify accounting transactions in accordance with budgets.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting laws and regula􀆟ons.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to uphold internal controls and streamline invoice processing.
• Review custom entries and gather documentation for processing.
• Maintain thorough documentation to support audits and internal reviews.
• Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for management.
• Apply understanding of Value Added Tax (VAT) frameworks in applicable transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• A minimum of 2 years work experience in accounting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems).
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
