Job description

ASIC Operations Engineer

• Interface with the ASIC design team to deliver ASIC products into production utilizing Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) partner.
• Monitor/improve ASIC yields and drive closure of manufacturing incidents.
• Drive manufacturing efficiencies to maximize ASIC output.

Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Fab Relations

• Work with foundries and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) vendors to ensure product quality and on-time delivery Yield Optimization: Analyze statistical test data to identify manufacturing limiters, wafer anomalies, or particle contamination Failure Analysis (FA): Perform failure analysis on defective processes to isolate process or design flaws
• Partner with process, equipment, and design engineers to implement solutions to improve, maintain, or troubleshoot production lines Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM): Partner with physical design teams pre-tapeout to review layout to maximize wafer utilization
• Create and maintain specifications, process documentation, and best-known methods

Qualifications

Education

Minimum B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related semiconductor Tools: Proficiency in statistical data analysis, automated test equipment (ATE) logs, Wafer Grind and Dice, SQL, SAP Manufacturing Knowledge: Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, fabless supply chains, and wafer sort/final test protocols
