We are currently seeking a dependable Machinist to join our team.

Position Summary

A Manual Machinist is a highly skilled tradesperson responsible for setting up and operating traditional, non-computerized machine tools—such as engine lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders—to fabricate, modify, or repair precision metallic and non-metallic parts. Manual machinists rely on software, deep mechanical aptitude, blueprints, and hands-on calculations to shape raw materials into exact specifications

Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine the correct methods, materials, and sequence of operations.

Machine Setup & Operation

• Align, secure, and adjust workpieces and cutting tools on manual equipment. Calculate and set correct feeds, speeds, and depth of cuts.

Fabrication

Manually turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind materials to exact dimensional tolerances (often within ± 0.001").

Quality Assurance & Inspection

• Routinely use precision measuring instruments —including micrometers, calipers, and gauges—to inspect parts during and after the machining process.

Machine Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn cutting tools to ensure optimal performance.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of a vocational technical training program, an associate degree, or a formal industry apprenticeship is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude, deep knowledge of metalworking techniques, and proficiency in shop mathematics (geometry and trigonometry).

Precision & Detail

• Exceptional hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and an unwavering focus on accuracy.

Physical Demands

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and safely lift or maneuver heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). Qualifications & Workplace Requirements

• Must remain in good standing across all internal metrics, including safety protocols, quality guidelines, attendance standards, and company disciplinary policies.

Physical Agility

• Continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting on a concrete manufacturing floor throughout the shift.
