Job Description

Design Support: Assist in preparing concept designs for mechanical sub-systems, focusing on reliability, robustness, and mission-critical performance. 3D Modeling & Drafting: Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings for mechanical components including plastic injection molded parts, die castings, and sheet metal.

Bill of Materials (BOM)

Set up and maintain accurate BOMs and release mechanical prints through our PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.

Prototyping & Pilot Builds

Provide on-site support for prototype assembly and pilot production runs to identify design improvements.

Perform mechanical verification tests (suc

Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in generating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings. Experience with PTC Creo or Solidworks is a significant advantage. A basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, metal stamping, and PCBA assembly.

Communication

Ability to clearly present conceptual ideas and technical data to the broader engineering team.

Simulation

Familiar with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural or heat transfer applications (academic projects are acceptable).

Standards

Familiarity with IP (Ingress Protection) sealing standards for water and dust resistance.

Methodology

Good understanding of Six Sigma principles or basic tolerance stack-up analysis.

Materials

Knowledge of material properties for engineering plastics and die-cast metals.
