Assistant Vice President - API Connect Admin

Job description

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and drive the API Connect administration function, playing a crucial role in the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will lead a team, manage API Connect/ESB layers, and provide domain expertise, ensuring smooth software delivery and critical production issue support.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the API Connect administration team, providing strategic direction and ensuring efficient operations. Conduct requirements gathering, impact analysis, and development activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Oversee the SIT and UAT phases, ensuring thorough testing and timely issue resolution. Provide expert support and guidance for critical production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact.

Maintain a deep understanding of the API Connect/ESB layers and their integration with the system and business environment. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in API management and integration. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders to align API Connect administration with business goals and objectives. Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy regulations within the API Connect environment.

Drive innovation and explore new technologies to enhance API Connect administration and overall software delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in API management, with a strong background in API Connect administration. Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment. Expertise in API design, development, and integration, with a focus on API Connect/ESB layers. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Proficiency in API management tools and technologies, including API Connect/ESB platforms.
