Pay

$23-$26 an hour depending on experience Hours: 6am - 5pm Monday - Friday. Open to working 55-60 hour work weeks

JOB SUMMARY

Are you willing to operate machinery safely and see the success of an exciting industry? Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Sedalia Quarry in Sedalia, MO. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience: High school diploma, GED or equivalent

• 1+ years of related experience Valid US driver’s license Skills: Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations Effective verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities
