QUALIFICATIONS

NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:

• Immediate open position - $40.90 - $48.20 per hour
• Must be a licensed

Mouldmaker/Tool & Die Maker

• Must have 5 years experience working on large tools, (Injection and/or RIM moulding)
• Must have knowledge of SVG systems, core pulls, hot manifolds, polishing and rebuilds
• Spotting press experience preferred - CNC lathe and mill experience required - A proven team player with good problem solving and decision making skills
• Must have own tools
• Must be safety conscious and reliable
• Good communication skills (English - spoken and written)

MAIN DUTIES

• Repair and maintain Injection, SMC and RIM tools (surface damage, parting lines, engineering changes, cylinders, seal off, etc.)
• Performs preventative maintenance to ensure all moulds are in constant operating condition
• Responsible for determining when tool cannot be repaired in-house and making arrangements with production to have tool removed from the machine
• Complete engineering changes when required
• Ensures minimum downtime with respect to mould operation
• Support production to minimize downtime on machines due to tooling issues
• Liaison with production for tool availability
• Liaison with maintenance for possible support requirements
• Able to work overtime when required
• Responsible for monthly ‘CI’, (Continuous Improvement ) contribution
