Junior Oil Trader

Join our Commodities and Global Markets team as a trading analyst to support our oil trading activities in Asia. You will have broad exposure to physical and financial oil markets and a clear development path towards a full time trading role. Your key responsibilities will include booking and verification of physical and derivative transactions, monitoring of positions and risk exposures, and preparation and explanation of the daily P&L, market and trading analysis in support of the trading team. You will have oversight of physical transactions across their life cycle, from pricing to settlement, daily co-ordination with Operations, Finance and Risk on the resolution of issues, and being a key supporter and developer of ongoing improvement and automation of desk processes.

Up to 3 years' experience in commodities, trading or financial markets (exposure to physical commodities is an advantage) A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong numerical and analytical skills, with advanced Excel (proficiency in Python or VBA is an advantage) A strong interest in oil markets and a commitment to developing a career in trading A strong work ethic, integrity and the ability to perform under pressure Effective communication and stakeholder management skills A degree in finance, economics, engineering or a related quantitative discipline (proficiency in Mandarin an advantage).
