Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid growth in the region with new store openings and business channels (i.e., Click and collect and marketplace). Software Engineer (User) As a Software Engineer that is part of the User Squad, you will participate in the design and development of backend systems and services, contributing to clean and scalable distributed architectures as the company grows. You will help deliver a reliable and personalised experience to Sephora’s 1.4 million monthly active users across Southeast Asia and Oceania via our Ecommerce platforms.

This role reports to our Engineering Manager, and you will work on high-visibility projects that directly impact customer lifetime value – our core KPI. We would love to hear from you if you are/have…3+ years of professional experience building production-grade backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring BootStrong proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDBSolid understanding of the Java ecosystem: Hibernate, JDBC, Maven, and GradleFamiliarity with event streaming (Kafka) and/or message queuing systems (RabbitMQ)Familiarity using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude
