Responsibilities

Manager who will lead the advancement of AI-based process optimization, data-driven manufacturing innovation, and Industrial Engineering (IE) across our semiconductor laser production lines.

• Lead the development and deployment of AI/ML models for yield improvement, anomaly detection, and process optimization
• Promote data-driven decision-making by building dashboards, automated analysis tools, and data pipelines
• Identify and execute manufacturing improvement projects focusing on cycle-time reduction, bottleneck removal, and process stability
• Collaborate with product, quality, and process engineering teams to implement integrated manufacturing solutions Expected Background: Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field Several years of experience in manufacturing engineering or data analytics
• Strong motivation to apply AI technologies to real manufacturing challenges Experience leading technical projects or improvement activities Expected Skill: Hands-on experience applying AI or machine-learning techniques to real datasets or manufacturing problems Practical experience with data analysis tools (Python, SQL, JMP, Power BI, etc.) Understanding of manufacturing processes and basic industrial engineering concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Fluent Japanese speaker and Basic communication skills in English (reading/writing and participating in online meetings or email discussions)

Preferred Skills
