Compensation

$45,000+ annually (Base Pay + Performance Incentives)

Position Overview

Suburban Toyota of Troy is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Automotive Business Development Center (BDC) Agent to join our sales team. The BDC Agent serves as the first point of contact for customers interested in purchasing a vehicle and plays a critical role in driving showroom traffic by responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and is motivated by performance-based earnings opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to inbound phone calls, internet leads, text messages, and email inquiries. Engage prospective customers, gather information about their vehicle needs, and guide them through the next steps of the purchase process. Schedule and confirm appointments for the sales team. Conduct outbound follow-up calls to internet leads, unsold showroom traffic, service customers, and previous customers. Maintain accurate customer records and activity notes in the dealership CRM.

Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and appointment goals. Follow established dealership processes and communication standards. Collaborate closely with Sales Consultants, Managers, and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience. Re-engage dormant and inactive prospects through phone, email, and text campaigns. Stay informed on current Toyota products, promotions, and dealership offerings.

Qualifications

Previous customer service, call center, sales, retail, hospitality, or automotive experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable speaking with customers on the phone throughout the day. Ability to build rapport and establish trust quickly. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn CRM systems. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Positive attitude and professional appearance. High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

Automotive BDC experience. Automotive sales experience. Experience using dealership CRM platforms. Proven success working toward performance metrics and goals.
