Pipeline Metering Technician

Job description

You will manage the safe operation of billing meter stations through calibrations, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs as required Perform maintenance, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, electrical equipment, and pipeline control systems, including flow computers and programming Further, comply with Safe Work Permit processes, including lockout/tagout, pre-job plans, hot work permits, and other safety initiatives.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and one-line diagrams while performing mechanical tasks such as valve operations, equipment installation, and pipe fitting. Schedule and coordinate daily activities with operations and supervisory personnel, support Damage Prevention Technicians, and maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization. Also, travel to remote locations as needed to support pipeline and processing operations, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and respond to callouts including weekends and holidays
