It's more than a job As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine. ‎ The role will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, growing existing customer relationships, and expanding the customer portfolio across key markets in South India.

How you create impact Develop and execute new business opportunities across the assigned market. Drive sea logistics sales across the US and Canada trade lanes, with a focus on FCL export shipments and general cargo. Identify, prospect and acquire new customers through proactive field sales and business development activities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to identify opportunities for business growth.

Build and manage a strong sales pipeline and convert opportunities into sustainable business. Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate sea logistics solutions. Monitor market developments, customer needs and competitive activity to identify new opportunities. Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales acquisition through to service delivery. Achieve agreed sales and volume targets while maintaining a strong focus on profitable business growth.

Build strong customer relationships and represent the company professionally in the market. What we would like you to bring Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, shipping or sea logistics sales. Strong experience in export sales, preferably with exposure to the US and Canada trade lanes. Proven track record in new business development and field sales. Established network or customer relationships within the exporter / shipper segment is highly desirable.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, negotiate and close new business. Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills. Self-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage a regional sales territory. Good understanding of the sea freight forwarding and export logistics environment.
