Roaster

Job description

Green coffee selection/weighing. Roaster operation/profile selection. Performing daily/weekly/monthly roaster cleaning and servicing. Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining the roaster and other production equipment Maintaining an accurate roast log and roaster maintenance log Ensuring accurate QR codes are created for every roast. Accurately tagging roasted coffee for the packaging line Consistently following the roast schedule to ensure both ‘roast to order' and ‘roast to inventory' production needs are met.

Operate forklift to move green coffee/packaging supplies High school completion Fork lift certificate (or demonstrated experience from previous position) Will train on actual roaster operation - candidate should be able to follow and communicate well in spoken and written English, have basic math skills, basic computer skills, good mechanical aptitude, ability to lift 50lbs and move bags weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and communicate clearly any equipment issue to service personnel.

Familiarity with and or experience working in a food production environment is an asset. Availability to work weekends and a variety of shifts is an asset
