Mechanical Engineer (New Graduate/Early Career)

Job description

Dematic has an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah. The successful candidate must have 0-5 years of mechanical design experience. Experience with material handling equipment is a plus. Candidate should have knowledge of Siemens NX CAD/CAM software and AutoCAD software.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $75,000.00 - $109,800.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Tasks and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities: Develop new concepts, create layouts, and detail designs. Perform in-depth engineering analysis and calculations. Coordinate with engineers of other disciplines to ensure a functional design. Supervise designers and drafters in preparation of production drawings. Estimate cost and design requirements for external customers. Support manufacturing and field installation of equipment. Travels up to 25% to different customer locations/Dematic locations.

Education

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Knowledge

Strength of Materials & Fatigue Design Finite Element Analysis Machine and Mechanism Design Dynamic Analysis Hydraulic & Pneumatic Design Siemens NX AutoCAD Experience: Typically, 0-5 years of successful experience in related fields and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
