Terminal Operator - Milwaukee Bulk

What You Will Do

Equipment Operator will operate heavy equipment (primarily a front-end loader) as well as other heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, forklifts, and conveyors in a bulk material handling environment. Responsible for operator level daily mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment. Other duties as assigned.

What You Need Education

High school diploma or equivalent Required Qualifications: Must have prior experience operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, excavators, forklifts, and conveyors. Must have a good mechanical aptitude. Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions- majority of the time will be working outside. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC Certification. The ability to work from written and verbal instructions.

Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules, as well as, take on other duties as assigned. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers. Typical hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance. Positively interact with customers and respond to customer inquiries. Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software). Successful completion of validated testing, background check and drug screen upon offer. Ability to take initiative and work with co-workers to accomplish defined goals in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

CDL a plus but not required Working Conditions: Physical requirements include but are not limited to: Able to lift as much as 50 lbs. as high as waist level. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and raise your body weight as high as 4 feet. Must not have a fear of water or heights.
