POSITION DETAILS Deliver dry groceries on a '53,'51,'48, or'45 ft trailer to supermarkets and distribution centers within 250 miles of Windsor Locks. Deliveries to NYC – Boroughs +Long Island 80-90%, NJ, MA, VT, RI, NH, ME, PA, parts of NY upstate. DRIVERS SHOULD PLAN TO DELIVER IN NYC BOROUGHS DAILY. . Multi-stop loads, usually 2-3 stops per trailer. D rivers normally do one long load per day, occasionally followed by a short load if hours permit.

Drivers will pick up return product at the final stop or pick up a backhaul back to the DC. Some trailers have lift gates. Trailers delivering in NYC will have lift gates. Trucks will be slip-seated. The acct will try to keep the drivers in the same trucks but they will be sharing with a driver on an opposite shift. There is no guarantee, however. The drivers should expect to slip seat.

REQUIREMENTS

Drivers will be unloading when needed with an electric pallet jack . Drivers will help support other accts in the local area as needed. Drivers should understand the importance of customer service and have good customer service skills. Drivers will work Holidays if it is their scheduled day to work unless the acct is not running that Holiday. Driver must be able to provide their own transportation to and from the account.

SALES TIPS Consistent start time and schedule. Consistent W2 of 90K. Very good paying job. Electric pallet jacks for all drivers. New equipment brought in. Trucks on avg are 3 years or newer. Wrapping technology updated in warehouse eliminating load issues.
