Position Details

Ryerson is a metal processor and distributor, offering more than 65000 varieties of stainless, aluminum, carbon and alloys in all shapes and sizes. Delivering aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Carbon in sheet, plate, bar, and tube forms to customers throughout OH, KY, PA, WV and IN. Manual unload is not required by drivers Will be required to strap down every load at the shipper and unstrap/re-strap at each delivery location Sometimes reload at the delivery locations with pickups that will need strapped down A cheater bar is used when tightening the straps.

It requires approximately 100 lbs. of pressure on the bar to get the straps tight. When a Conestoga trailer is not available, required to tarp each shipment Multi-stop deliveries will require drivers to re-adjust tarp after each stop. Preloaded trailers Live unload (average 30 to 60 minutes). The driver is required to haul intermodal and other dedicated loads when freight levels are low. This can be a physically demanding position Special Requirements: Flatbed experience preferred J.B.

Hunt Flatbed certification is required.
