Mandatory meetings: $25 per hour DCS outsource work: $245-$270 per day Intermodal outsource work: $100-$250 per load 6th Day Incentive: $75 per day Safety training: $20 per hour New hire training period: $245 per day Drivers in this position over the last six to twelve months have averaged annualized earnings of $79,000

Position Details

Driver will deliver groceries in dry van and reefer trailers from the DC in Rancho Cucamonga, CA to Smart & Final stores in southern CA Delivery locations include, but are not limited to: Santa Barbara, Bakersfield, San Diego, and Los Angeles, CA Trailers are preloaded at the shipper Multi stop loads averaging 2-4 stops per load

At the receiver driver is required to unload product with a pallet jack onto the store dock, or requested staging area(s) by the receiver, for the receiver to take into the store Pallet jacks are a mixture of manual and electric pallet jacks that are located at the customer sites

Driver may be required to down stack pallets with the receiver's help An average of 10% of loads require down stacking Driver will be required to take empties to vendors If no vendor is assigned the driver will bring back store cleanout items Dunnage, pallets, and bales of cardboard Driver has the possibility of picking up an inbound load on their return to the DC in

Rancho Cucamonga Special Requirements: Driver must be proficient and comfortable with blindside backing and close quarter maneuvers in order to make deliveries Driver must be comfortable running their assigned shift and start time Driver is allowed to ask management if they can be added to the waitlist for their desired shift, but there is no guarantee or time frame on switching shifts.

Drivers will be required to help other JBI/DCS accounts. When helping intermodal drivers can expect to do 1-2 loads per day.
