- Mechanically troubleshoot, repair and maintain all types of industrial machinery, equipment and systems
- Capable of rebuilding or repairing machines or assemblies to original operating conditions
- Familiar with CNC machines, punch presses, and spot-welding equipment
- Responsible for project management work and/or documentation of product equipment or processes
- Communicate, discuss, and/or review repair problems with Engineering, the Tool Room, Production Team Leads or vendors as needed
- Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance)
- Plan and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment up time
- Keep neat orderly records and order spare parts
- Perform other duties that may be assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to fabricate, weld, and/or machine parts as required.
- Working knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, including power transmission, fluid power, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow written specifications, procedures, technical drawings, and blueprints.
- Ability to understand and execute work from verbal instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with close-tolerance equipment and parts.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring and diagnostic tools, including torque wrenches, micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators, and similar equipment.
- Ability to apply basic mathematics to calculate dimensions, measurements, and equipment setups.
- Basic computer proficiency required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and following established procedures.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and prioritize maintenance needs in a manufacturing environment.
