Cable Access products

actively developing the industry’s first software-based CCAP solution (“Cable OS”) and cloud native CMTS. These solutions allow to cable operator companies to deliver the IP-based data, video, and voice services to millions of customers. Focus is given to CableOS which will allow to get rid of the existing HW equipment and to migrate to the cloud, saving customers the enormous expenses for the support of HW network equipment.

The system is based on microservice architecture and is running on the general purpose CPUs. It doesn’t require using ASICs and make possible to run the SW both on the bare metal servers as well as on the private cloud infostructure. CableOS is a pioneer in DOCSIS software defined networking (SDN) with all the benefits it gives to the service providers. GlobalLogic team is involved in development, manual and automated testing, as well as in solution integration at customers’ headend and further technical support 24/7 with providing professional services for Customers.

You will develop system-level and performance-critical components in Linux , contribute to architectural decisions, and become a domain owner in a dedicated area of the product.

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of professional C++ developmen t experience
• Strong knowledge of C++ and solid programming fundamentals Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix-like environments Experience with inter-process communication (IPC) Basic knowledge of computer networking
• Strong algorithmic and problem-solving skills Experience working with large and complex codebases
• Ability to work with critical and performance-sensitive components Good English communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving Nice to Have: Experience with L2/L3 networking and switching
• Knowledge of QoS and packet processing Experience with high-performance or distributed systems Experience with DPDK Experience with Kubernetes and containers Embedded development or experience with switch chips Experience in the telecom/communication industry
• Knowledge of DOCSIS/PON Scripting experience with Python or Shell
