Job Description
The Poland Health & Safety Department is a dynamic, forward-thinking team dedicated to fostering a world-class safety culture across all our corporate and operational locations. Operating under the strategic guidance of the Country Board and closely integrated with the Employee Services division, we act as trusted internal consultants rather than just compliance enforcers. Our mission is to seamlessly merge strict regulatory standards with practical, modern workplace solutions.
As a growing department with both local impact and international reach, we thrive on collaboration, continuous improvement, and technological innovation in safety management. Joining our team means having a real voice in shaping the organizational well-being, driving chemical and machinery safety standards, and ensuring that every employee returns home safely every day. #LI-AM7 Requirements Mandatory H&S Qualification: A university diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, a postgraduate diploma in H&S, or an equivalent qualification such as the Health & Safety Inspector Title.
Technical Proficiency
Practical experience with digital documentation workflows, including proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace (Google Drive).
Language Skills
Professional working proficiency in English (Upper-Intermediate / B2 level or higher). Polish fluency is assumed.
Mobility
A valid Category B driving license and the readiness for business travel.
Proactive & Self-Driven
You demonstrate a strong sense of initiative, identifying opportunities for improvement and managing tasks with minimal supervision.
Disciplined & Meticulous
You possess a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in documentation, machine compliance, and chemical safety.
Committed & Accountable
You show true ownership of your responsibilities and are dedicated to fostering a robust safety culture within the organization.
Job Responsibilities
As a Health & Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and improving workplace safety across all corporate and operational locations.
Your key responsibilities will include: Maintaining and developing the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in accordance with ISO 45001 standards, including preparing for internal and external certification audits. Conducting comprehensive H&S audits for Polish locations (around 10-12 per year) and international sites (1-5 per year), and preparing detailed electronic reports with actionable recommendations.
Developing, implementing, and reviewing occupational risk assessments, including safety assessments for machinery and equipment to ensure technical compliance. Managing the company registry of chemical substances, keeping Safety Data Sheets (SDS) up to date, and ensuring full compliance with REACH/CLP regulations. Delivering initial H&S training sessions in both Polish and English (2-5 times per month) and coordinating the overall company-wide periodic training schedule.
Cooperating with external vendors to organize specialized courses such as first aid and fire safety training. Managing official H&S documentation and working closely with HR and Legal teams to investigate and resolve any compliance irregularities. Coordinating H&S committee meetings, preparing presentations, and ensuring all discussions and action items are formally documented. Partnering with site managers and internal departments to implement safety improvements and follow up on corrective actions.
