Responsibilities

Hilton York located in the heart of the historic city of York, our 131 bedroom hotel is the perfect base to explore, connect, and unwind. Just moments from iconic landmarks, shops, and transport links, it’s ideally suited for both business and leisure stays.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day

• Team of 9 chefs

Oversee kitchen operations

• Manage food preparation, presentation, and production while ensuring quality, safety, sanitation, and cost control to maximize efficiency and profitability

Manage administrative functions

• Oversee kitchen systems, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and team member operations

Ensure ingredient quality

• Select, inspect, and utilize high-quality food and beverage products, including meats, seafood, produce, and seasonings

Enhance menu offerings

• Create and implement new dishes and seasonal menus to elevate the dining experience

Lead a high-performing team

• Supervise and support team members, recruit new talent, monitor development and performance, provide coaching and foster a positive and productive work environment

Uphold regulatory standards

• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
