The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Purchasing and Receiving Supervisor (temporary) to join the team ! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever. Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets.

As a Purchasing and Receiving Supervisor , you’re not just supporting the procurement and inventory management process – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

Here's what you'll do during a typical day

• Support purchasing and receiving operations: Assist with procurement, oversee receiving processes, and manage inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure efficient stock management
• Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with outlet managers to ensure purchases meet operational needs and specifications
• Process invoices: Review invoices for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies to ensure timely payment and issue resolution
• Assist with supplier management: Help secure competitive pricing, place orders, and track deliveries to ensure timely arrivals.

Perform quality checks

Inspect shipments to verify they meet order specifications, grade, and quality standards Supervise and develop the team: Train, schedule, and supervise purchasing and receiving clerks, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
