The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Pipefitter to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations. The position will be based in Greater Sudbury (Onaping), Ontario. This is a full-time, permanent, unionized position. The hourly wage rate is $44.39 per hour, the position is eligible for applicable bonuses. This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy. Work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Accountabilities

Works in compliance with the Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations safety rules and the internal responsibility system. Work collaboratively with others while contributing a positive attitude and input to the team. Performs work in accordance with drawings and specifications or to established company procedure, existing regulations or to acceptable trades standards. Preforms layout, measuring, draft drawings, communicate information for maintenance repairs and improvements Set up and safely operate threaded and/or grooving equipment, thread various sizes of piping, groove (Cut or roll) pipe of various sizes.

• Prepare and install various sizes and lengths of HDPE pipe and Victaulic couplings Safely and properly use all tools (pipe wrenches, impact guns, Sawzall’s, etc..) used for preparation and installation of piping systems Experience and knowledge on rigging various sizes and lengths of pipe and supports
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently to solve/repairs any maintenance requirements
• Performs other related duties as required.
