Impact of the Role General Profile Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process

• Performs manual tasks according to established procedures

Essential Functions

Supports the engineering design and development of electrical control and automation systems and devices. Provides setup, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of electrical control systems and prototypes. Assists with testing of systems, devices, and instruments. Documents testing procedures, and measures and records performance results following established methods. Maintains the inventory of supplies and tools used for testing and maintenance.

Required Qualifications

Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred Knowledge, skills & abilities: Electronic Equipment Installation. Engineering Support. Laboratory Supply Management. Performance Analysis. Technical Troubleshooting. Testing Result Reporting. Control Systems. Electro-Mechanical Components/Instruments. Test Documentation. Equipment Repairs. Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Software.

Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities. May need to stand for long periods of time. Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery. May be requested to work a different shift. This position is Safety-Sensitive. Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
