Job Summary

A portion of the duties are performed outside and may involve extensive physical activity such as: bending, climbing stairs, ladders and reaching above shoulder level. The employee must have the physical dexterity to operate equipment, i.e., motorized vehicles, circular saw, radial arm saw, battery powered drill and pallet jack. Requires on the job training.

Responsibilities

Employee must be able to be certified to operate a tractor trailer and forklift. Employee will be responsible for completion of assignments in a safe manner ensuring quality and timeliness. Assignments will include loading/unloading of finished goods, raw material receipts and deliveries, general storeroom inventory control, new and used pack receipts and plant laundry. Employee must be able to lift 55 lbs. and manuver/dolly up to 220 lbs.

Employee will also be required to work independently and within a team. Work the required shifts and overtime to support plant operations.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION. Must have good reading, writing, and communication skills. Must have the ability to learn and understand oral and written instruction and procedures. Must be dependable; have an acceptable work record including attendance. Must have the physical dexterity to operate equipment and instrumentation. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills. Must be capable of passing task certifications.

Must have a strong desire to work and have reliable transportation. BATFE clearance required. Successful completion of a comprehensive background check required Must have a valid state driver license. Must have a GED/High School Diploma or able to achieve passing scores on the Work Keys Skills Test administered by CareerSource Capital Region PREFEERED QUALIFICATIONS: Tractor Trailor/CDL experience a plus Prior work experience working with forklifts and pallet jacks Industrial/Warehouse work environments a plus.
