Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES

As a firmware development engineer for autonomousundersea systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the next generation of AUV systems.

• Design and implement bare-metal firmware in C for ARM Cortex-M and other microcontroller architectures
• Develop drivers and low-level interfaces for peripherals including SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and timer modules Profile and optimize code for performance, power consumption, and memory constraints
• Work closely with hardware engineers, systems architects, and product teams to translate requirements into firmware solutions Nice to Have, Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers (SWD, JTAG), and embedded testing frameworks to validate firmware functionality What sets you apart: Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience.
