We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our Templeton Global Investments team based in Singapore. This role is primarily responsible for generating investment ideas and conducting fundamental research of companies across various sectors in Singapore, including cash flow, balance sheet and income statement evaluations. This role will require the incumbent to engage with companies under coverage on a regular basis and compile data from multiple sources to develop financial models.

How You Will Add Value Conduct independent research and fundamental analysis of publicly listed companies in Singapore across various sectors to generate actionable investment ideas. Analyze financial statements and all other pertinent sources of investment information for assigned companies to develop detailed financial models and research reports. Develop differentiated insights on assigned coverage companies in alignment with our investment approach and philosophy.

Conduct channel checks, analyze industry structure, competitive dynamics and company strategy to formulate a holistic view on the companies in the assigned coverage. Provide written and oral presentations of investment recommendations to the investment team and keep the team updated on a regular basis of any changes to the recommendations or forecasts. Provide research coverage support for ASEAN public equity markets where required.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role Education, Certification & Experience Bachelor’s degree. CFA holder or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred. 3-8 years of solid research experience in either Singapore or ASEAN equity markets. Previous research experience in small and mid-cap companies is preferred.

Technical Skills

Proficient in leveraging AI tools to enhance the quantity and quality of research output. Ability to identify structural themes and translate them into actionable investment ideas across multiple sectors. Strong fundamental research, quantitative, and financial analysis skills including fluency in analyzing financial statements. Skilled in building and analyzing detailed financial models, including earnings, cashflow, balance sheet and valuation models including DCFs.

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Bloomberg. Soft Skills Passionate about investing and striving for excellence. Intellectually curious, meticulous and detail oriented. Adaptable mindset and commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
