Hourly Shift Lead - Ridge Tool

Job description

The Shift Lead plays a key role in supporting daily operations across all departments by removing barriers, improving workflow, and ensuring results are achieved. This role works collaboratively on objectives while operating independently to drive execution. You will support employees, maintain high standards of accuracy, and help create an environment where everyone can succeed. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Engage and direct hourly employees to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.

Provide clear feedback to reinforce successes and offer coaching when improvement is needed. Assist in training team members to ensure they understand processes, expectations, and work standards. Monitor, balance, and adjust daily workflow among work areas to meet operational goals. Audit work for 100% accuracy and ensure any discrepancies are corrected prior to completion. Ensure successful completion of order picking, order packing, and stock replenishment activities.

Perform varied tasks requiring independent judgment and the ability to apply knowledge to a wide range of situations.

For This Role, You Will Need

At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain a goal‑oriented approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and fairly within a team environment. Willingness to learn PC skills and software tools needed for the role. Ability to instruct and guide a small group of employees performing varied tasks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to successfully complete required equipment training, including forklift, stock picker, and reach truck. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with tools available for heavier items. Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
