Chief Accountant / Accounting Manager

Job description

Are you an experienced accounting professional who enjoys having a full overview of the numbers and making sure everything is accurate, compliant and delivered on time? We are looking for a Chief Accountant / Accounting Manager who will take ownership of the accounting function in Romania and work closely with local and international finance teams.

What you’ll do

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial closing
• Oversee tax accounting and compliance
• Prepare and oversee accurate financial reporting for local statutory and Group requirements
• Coordinate both internal and external audits and auditors
• Lead and support the implementation of new accounting and financial processes
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting requirements
• Oversee transfer pricing activities
• Ensure accurate and efficient accounting processes
• Work with Oracle ERP, Power BI reports and more
• Coordinate the work of other teams located in SSCs
• Work closely with internal DHL Tax Function and external tax advisors What we are looking for?
• Must have: Solid experience in accounting in a senior or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS Excellent knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax requirements Experience with financial closing, reporting and audits Good English communication skills (B2+)
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
