Regional Head of Cargo Insurance, Central & Eastern Europe

Job description

Drive commercial growth and customer adoption of cargo insurance solutions across CEE. Are you an experienced insurance professional with a strong commercial mindset? Join DHL Group and help shape the growth of cargo insurance solutions across Central and Eastern Europe. In this regional role, you will identify business opportunities, engage corporate customers, and collaborate with commercial and functional teams across multiple markets.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and execute the cargo insurance growth strategy across CEE.
• Identify new customer, market, and partnership opportunities.
• Build relationships with corporate customers and senior decision-makers.
• Support sales teams in positioning cargo insurance solutions.
• Lead regional initiatives across countries and functions.
• Monitor market developments and commercial performance.
• Partner with insurance, legal, compliance, finance, and operational teams to support responsible growth.

Requirements

• Experience in cargo, marine, or commercial insurance, including broking, underwriting, sales, business development, or account management.
• A strong record of developing B2B customers and commercial opportunities.
• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and navigating complex organizations.
• Experience working internationally or across multiple markets.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Professional fluency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or international trade.
• Knowledge of Central and Eastern European markets.
• An additional CEE language.
