Job description

Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to manage, control and develop the Free Trade & Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) business activities in accordance with the group business strategy and local business environment in order to deliver maximum profit and optimize business assets and human resources.

Key Activities

Customer / Stakeholder:

• Provide leadership in the areas of product and business development, resource utilisation, Country organization and activities
• Support and co-ordinate the development, implementation and localisation of key initiatives and programmes
• Facilitate and support country's efforts in maintaining healthy relationships with trade bodies and government agencies & authorities, including being an active subscriber or participant of global research agencies Establish KPI's and obtain agreement & commitment from Country management
• Provide guidelines and support for the implementation of programs such as security regulation to meet country mandated regulatory requirements Vendors / Suppliers: Vendor contact/negotiation according to corporate policy and local requirements Vendor contract/relationship and performance management
• Identifies, suggests, agrees and reinforces improvement measures at warehouses & operations Business Performance & Results Responsible for operational result at country level
• Defines, monitors and enforces targets to the warehouses / operations
• Select and assigns key positions to reach targets
• Lead market profiling and customer / competitor research and analysis activities to understand and identify market opportunities and challenges
• Develop effective pricing strategies to sustain profitable growth Champion Quality & Improvement Responsible for constant improvement and optimization of production means (cost management), e g make or buy
• Defines and implements Warehousing ISO standards in line with corporate instructions Responsible for achieving customer business targets and KPIs Business Operational Management Responsible for operational management, Operation sites, Technical support (buying, capacity etc), Local purchasing on country according to corporate policy
• Proposes IT needs Responsible for Operational KPI's Security Management Oversee Security practices to ensure policies and business needs are met.

Role Profile Develop a team spirit and multitasking capabilities within the team. Develop a culture of quality, service excellence (for internal customers), flexibility and cost consciousness. Plan, organise and direct an efficient and effective function. Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance. Conduct performance appraisal, including coaching Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff.

Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.

Minimum 10 yrs in Logistics Industry Specific: Must have worked at the position of a Manager in Business. Development, Warehousing and/or Trucking for at least 5 years in a reputed Organization Education: MBA/Equivalent from a reputed institute
