DBS Internship Programme offers university students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience. Whether your interests lie in banking, AI, technology, data, sustainability, risk management, operations, finance, human resources, marketing or other corporate functions, you will work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful work that contribute to real business outcomes. You will gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing technology solutions that serve millions of customers across the region. Depending on team and project requirements, you may have opportunities to: Develop and enhance applications, platforms, and digital products. Contribute to cloud, infrastructure, platform engineering, and DevOps initiatives. Support cybersecurity, system reliability, and operational excellence efforts.

Work with data, automation, and emerging technologies to improve business processes. Participate in solution design, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile and fast-paced environment. AI & Data Science Offers opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and artificial intelligence to solve real-world business challenges and enhance customer experiences.

You will work alongside teams that use data-driven insights and emerging AI technologies to drive innovation across the bank. Depending on team and project requirements, you may have opportunities to: Build GenAI & Agentic AI Solutions: Build LLM-powered applications such as copilots and AI agents, including exploring cutting-edge Agentic frameworks, prompt & context engineering, building and integrating reusable tools, performing evaluations, and implementing safety guardrails.

Ensure Responsible AI and Engineering Standards

Govern AI solutions to be safe, reliable, and scalable with proper testing, guardrails and security controls.

Develop Machine Learning and Deep Learning Models

Develop, train, and tune predictive models using modern ML and deep learning approaches, including frameworks such as PyTorch.

Apply MLOps and Deployment Practices

Apply MLOps principles to ensure reproducibility, versioning, deployment readiness, and monitoring of models in real enterprise environments.

Learn Through Community and Practice

Master GenAI and Agentic AI through productive community sharing workshops including the latest research & frameworks, hands-on sessions, etc. At DBS, we value talent that grows with us. Students who have previously completed a DBS internship and demonstrated strong performance will receive priority consideration when applying for future internship opportunities as well as Management Associate Programme. This allows returning interns to continue building their skills, deepen their experience, and explore new opportunities across the bank.

Who Are We Looking For Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline. – AI & Data Science Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline. - Technology Matriculated undergraduate or postgraduate students from any discipline

Priority consideration is given to penultimate year students; selected roles may be open to students in other years of study Able to commit to a full-time internship for a minimum of 12 weeks Able to obtain university endorsement for DBS internship Passionate about a career in banking and financial services
