Lathe and Milling Machine Operator

Job description

Preparation of the work process, machine setup, clamping and alignment of workpieces and tools. Determination of work procedures, equipment, and methods. Determination of cutting parameters and preparation of tools and materials for the manufacturing process. Setup of machine tools and the production process to achieve the required tolerances. Monitoring the use of cutting tools and setting up and controlling machines using the appropriate operating controls.

Recording technical data regarding the progress and results of the work performed. Following the instructions of the supervisor. As required, performing manual work (grinding, finishing operations, etc.) and operating other machines, including multi-machine operation.
