Rockport, IN Cleveland-Cliffs, Rockport Works is looking for a Shift Manager Maintenance. This role is responsible for coordinating daily activities in the operation site, supervising hourly crews and improving overall efficiency by proper utilization of the resources and all of its components. They will ensure the reliability of the mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance and directing maintenance personnel as needed in response to breakdowns.

Summary of Responsibilities Schedules routine activities. Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plans Maintains general discipline of the crew in meeting the daily production, safety and quality objectives.

Instructs personnel in job requirements, company rules and practices

• Coordinates production and maintenance activities with different departments, assists in developing continuous improvement plans
• Monitors site's operation, adheres to safety, environmental, quality, and productivity performance standards and performs regular audits
• Leads employees' training and performance review programs.

Improves overall production, processes and services efficiency Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma Commitment to enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with environmental and quality standards

• Strong organization skills
• Proficient computer skills, including database entry, Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
• Proven electrical or mechanical knowledge and basic related work experience
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree Steel manufacturing experiences preferred Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
