Travel Claims Examiner

Job description

Your Role You will be responsible for managing, handling and reviewing travel insurance claims, delivering high-quality outcomes through prompt, professional engagement with customers and brokers. You will investigate, reserve and adjust claims in line with Chubb standards, while ensuring a strong focus on service, quality and compliance. You will review claims assessments by our offshore team and leverage your expertise in supporting the management of the claim.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of travel insurance claims from lodgement through to resolution. Assess claims in line with Chubb service, quality and compliance requirements, including coverage assessment, reserving, payments and customer updates. Act as a referral point, supporting the review and resolution of more complex claims and high value matters. Communicate clearly and professionally with brokers, claimants, underwriters and internal stakeholders via phone and written correspondence.

Support broader claims management activities, including escalations, emergency assistance cases, service provider coordination, audits and training .

What You’ll Bring

Previous insurance claims experience is essential. Experience handling travel insurance claims or complex medical claims is preferred. Investigation, negotiation, communication and organisational skills. Sound understanding of insurance contracts, legal and regulatory requirements, and damage or loss evaluation.
