Digital Development Underwriter

Job description

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Digital Development Underwriter to join our Digital Commercial Insurance (DCI) team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the digital transformation of commercial insurance, helping to develop broker relationships, digitise books of business, and support the delivery of market-leading solutions. The role can be based from our Manchester or London office.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with brokers across the UK to identify and digitise books of business, bringing innovative solutions to the market. Travel nationwide to build relationships, finalise deals, and help brokers transition their business onto Chubb’s digital platforms. Be the ‘boots on the ground’—understanding broker and customer challenges, and translating them into opportunities for growth and improvement. Support product and process development, collaborating with colleagues to deliver outstanding solutions for our clients.

Underwrite cross-class small commercial business, driving growth and profitability. Assess portfolio performance and contribute to Chubb’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Previous experience in Property and Casualty underwriting. Ability to manage the needs of a broad range of stakeholders. Adaptability—comfortable juggling multiple priorities and handling unexpected challenges. Strong customer orientation, blending client needs with business profitability. Self-motivated and results-driven. Experience in digital or portfolio underwriting environments is a plus.

Understanding of product development and the ability to turn insights into actionable improvements. What can you expect in return?
