Join Casey’s Analytics Solutions team as an Analytics Engineer and help shape how data is used across the organization. In this role, you’ll build the scalable Power BI models and analytical foundations that turn complex data into trusted, easy-to-use insights for teams across the business. This isn’t an ad-hoc reporting role. You’ll work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence, designing enterprise-grade semantic models, improving Power BI performance, and creating solutions that make self-service analytics easier and more consistent.
Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys teaching and developing others. You’ll help analysts across the organization strengthen their Power BI capabilities through training, coaching, technical communities, standards, and knowledge sharing. If you love solving complex data problems and helping others become better at solving them too, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
Build analytics that scale: Design, build, and maintain enterprise Power BI semantic models that provide trusted analytical foundations for multiple areas of the business.
Create better data models
Develop dimensional models, star schemas, standardized business metrics, DAX measures, calculation groups, and model relationships that are intuitive, maintainable, and high performing.
Optimize Power BI performance
Improve refresh and query performance through incremental refresh, partitions, aggregations, and other optimization techniques for large-scale datasets.
Partner across data and the business
Work closely with Data Engineering and business teams to ensure data is structured for effective analytical consumption and translate complex needs into durable analytics solutions.
Set the standard
Help establish and champion Power BI best practices, including modeling standards, naming conventions, row-level security, documentation, governance, and dataset lifecycle management.
Enable self-service analytics
Build well-documented semantic models that make it easier for analysts and business teams to confidently answer questions with data.
Teach, coach, and build capability
Develop training, certification programs, technical communities, and knowledge-sharing opportunities that grow Power BI expertise across Casey’s.
Be a trusted technical resource
Coach and consult with Power BI-enabled analysts across business functions, helping them apply best practices and build stronger analytics solutions. Casey's is open to hiring at multiple levels (Associate, Analyst, Senior) based on candidate experience.
