Guest Service Agent (HGI)

Job description

Responsible for assisting guest when registering them into the hotel, settling accounts upon check-out and providing information throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

Checking guests in and out of the hotel. Standing and maneuvering in confined area. Greeting and conversing with customers in English. Speaking clearly and communicating with guest in noisy environment. Responding to visual and oral signals. Using color monitors on computer screens. Addressing concerns and questions. Giving friendly, excellent service. Processing cash transactions accurately.

Qualifications

Must be able to work in areas containing dust, second hand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration, crowds and air quality. Previous computer and front desk experience preferred. Excellent guest communication skills. High school graduate or equivalent. Basic computer knowledge.

Work Environment

Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and stack. Must be able to run on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.

Ability to stand and walk, and mobility to move easily around entire property for entire shift. Must have the manual dexterity to be able to type, grab, grip, pull, hold, tear, sort, reach, and file appropriate paperwork.
