Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Light Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join the Cortez team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shop areas, tooling and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environment
• Perform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processes
• Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Two (2) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment preferred Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics required
• Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision required
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required
• Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions required
• Lift at least 50 lbs. required
• Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model required Housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level required Good written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast paced environment, and support team in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety record required The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.
