Job description

Are you a communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment while shaping narratives that resonate with key audiences? Amazon is looking for a Public Relations Specialist III to develop and execute strategic communications programs that protect and enhance our reputation while driving meaningful business outcomes. We're looking for a versatile content producer for the AWS Internal Communications team, creating, curating, and publishing stories on Amazon's A to Z News topic.

This channel spotlights AWS initiatives, innovation, and milestones for hundreds of thousands of Amazonians. You’ll also produce content for AWS Newsroom social channels.

You'll work closely with Amazon global editorial leads, communications managers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to produce high-quality, creative content that informs and inspires AWS employees.

- Lead a weekly newsletter to AWS employees

- Develop story angles from product launches, organizational news, leadership moments, and employee achievements

- Curate and pitch content from across AWS teams, identifying stories that resonate with the audience

- Produce and write content for AWS Newsroom social channels

- Maintain a high quality and creativity bar for all published content

- Contribute and lead email campaigns for AWS employees — including event-related emails, and "just announced" alerts tied to key AWS moments

- Leverage AI tools to accelerate content ideation, drafting, and optimization

- Apply AI tools for editing, formatting, and content repurposing across channels

- Create supporting graphics, visual assets, and imagery for published stories

- Design headers, infographics, and visual elements that enhance story engagement

- Track and report on content performance (page views, engagement rates, readership metrics)

- Assess reputational risks and sentiment trends, identifying protocols and partners to take necessary action while keeping cross-functional teams informed and aligned.

- Drive strategic discussions with internal stakeholders to prioritize programs, test assumptions, and make smart trade-offs that balance effort, timing, and deliverables.

- Write and review narratives, reports, and business documents with a high standard of writing excellence, presenting recommendations and progress updates to senior leaders.
